About Vitamin D3

with 4 comments

Vitamin D3 is the most bioavailable form of vitamin d. It’s nutritional benefits vastly exceed those of other forms of the vitamin.

Vitamin D3 is manufactured by the human body when human skin makes direct contact with sunlight. D3 can also be obtained through some foods, such as eggs and some cold-water fish, as well as from supplements.

The purpose of this blog is to educate people about the different types of vitamin d, and why some forms are better than others.

  3. Great Post ! I had no idea about D3. In fact I had no idea it even existed. I wonder if the amount is high in cold water fish ?

First of all, who are you? (For everyone else, that was an inside joke between John, myself and fans of Ayn Rand’s work.)

As for the cold water fish, it is my understanding that in general, cold water fish contain more vitamin D than do most other foods. Personally, I’d stick to the sun and supplements, as a majority of people are deficient, and there’s a high probability that some of those who are deficient eat plenty of cold water fish.
